The University recognizes that at times it may be necessary to reorganize and/or restructure our workforce resulting in position eliminations and layoffs and will ensure we adhere to relevant employment laws. USC is committed to treating employees with dignity, respect, and care during difficult times. This policy outlines eligibility criteria for severance benefits, the process for layoff selection, and the process for informing affected employees.
