Policy Governance

Integrity and Accountability Code

Our reimagined Integrity and Accountability Code is anchored to USC’s Unifying Values and aligns our everyday decisions with USC’s mission, values and compliance obligations. It is a source for the USC Community and links to USC and Keck Medicine of USC policies, resources and tools.

Governance Bodies

USC’s policies are governed by two distinct bodies: The Policy Governance Committee and the Policy Review Core Team. The Policy Advisory Governance Committee provides strategic direction and oversight on matters pertaining to the governance of university-wide policies and related policy resources (e.g., standards, procedures, guidelines). The Policy Review Core Team’s purpose is to review university-wide policies and related policy resources (e.g., standards, procedures, guidelines) to encourage consistency, accessibility, style, and language guidelines.

Policy on Policies

USC is committed to ensuring that all policies and related resources are managed in a manner that is compliant and consistent with legal and regulatory requirements, higher education leading practices, and USC’s culture and values. This policy defines a University Policy, and describes the key expectations and requirements related to policy governance.
